Contemporary art is a living reflection of our times and our problems; it multiplies the representations and questions about the individual as an individual and in relation to his/her surroundings. In order to support and expand the development of art, society in general must be more actively involved in it, together with institutions.

The Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo A.C. (Board of Contemporary Art, better known for its acronym in Spanish, PAC) is a one-of-a-kind non-profit partnership dedicated to the task of encouraging today's art; it is a dynamic group of people that share this preoccupation.

PAC was founded in June 2000 with the hopes of drawing the public closer to the world of contemporary art; it supports projects for museums, galleries, curators, editors, critics, promoters and researchers in the field, and thus contributes to the expansion of contemporary art. PAC brings together the volunteer efforts of an independent group of professionals in cultural circles who make up its board of directors. The annual contributions of individual and corporate sponsors allow for the development of programs favoring quality projects funded jointly with other institutions.
