Doctor in History of art by the UNAM and associate researcher in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. His lines of research include pre-Hispanic Mayan art, Mayan hieroglyphic writing, Mayan hieroglyphic historiography, and pre-Hispanic and colonial Mayan religion.
